It was hard to travel in Finland in the coldest week of the coldest winter in 100 years. (13 to 18 Feb 2011)My fingers were exposed for 5 minutes and they started paining. It took half an hour for them to become normal.
Slippery pavements tp walk on added to the thrill (or misery?). Amazing to see how life goes on as usual for the Fins! I guess it is because the temperatures go down gradually for them where as I landed form +35deg C in Chennai to -32degC in Tampere in one day.All the same it was a wonderful experience even without wine.
